ULTRAMAX is characterised by its large filter mass. Patented solutions such as the prefilter, the double ball valve system and the self-priming filter system guarantee user comfort and high filtration performance.

Prefilter

The Aquael ULTRAMAX filters feature a capacious 1.5-liter pre-filter built into the lid of the unit. This design effectively traps large debris, significantly reducing the frequency of filter maintenance. Cleaning the pre-filter is straightforward; simply lift the lid, remove the sponge from the basket, and rinse it under running water. This process does not require removing the unit from the cabinet, making maintenance both simple and efficient.

Double Ball Valve System

The ULTRAMAX filters are equipped with a patented double ball valve system, which addresses a common issue faced by aquarists—the spillage of water when disconnecting the inlet and outlet hoses. This innovative system simultaneously closes the filter inlet and outlet as well as the hoses, preventing any uncontrolled escape of water and minimizing mess during maintenance.

Self-Priming System

Starting the filter is hassle-free with the self-priming system. You only need to make 2 to 4 movements with the piston to flood the filter with aquarium water. This simple mechanism ensures that you can quickly get the filter up and running without any complications.

Smooth Performance Regulation

Adjusting the filter’s performance is intuitive and easy. The filter features a clearly labeled small lever on the right valve for smooth and straightforward performance regulation. This design ensures that even first-time users can easily adjust the filter to their needs.

Effective Filtration

The ULTRAMAX filters are designed for effective mechanical and biological filtration. They include multiple filter cartridges housed in 1.9-liter baskets. Depending on the model, there are 3 to 5 baskets, offering a total filter media capacity of 6.3 to 10.10 liters. This setup ensures comprehensive filtration for a healthier aquarium environment.

Discreet Operation

The filter’s design minimizes operational noise. The carefully engineered pump impeller, its chambers, and the ceramic impeller axis work together to ensure that the filter operates almost inaudibly. This makes it suitable for placement in quiet areas like bedrooms or workspaces.

Each ULTRAMAX filter is delivered fully equipped with selected cartridges for mechanical and biological filtration, as well as all necessary accessories. Low Electric Power Consumption

The ULTRAMAX filters are designed with energy efficiency in mind. The ULTRAMAX 1000 consumes only 15 watts, the ULTRAMAX 1500 consumes 16 watts, and the ULTRAMAX 2000 has a reduced power consumption of 17 watts (after a 30% reduction from previous models). This makes them cost-effective and environmentally friendly.
