1. Place the device next to the cat's old litter box (without moving it) and sprinkle the old litter from the old box into the new box in this device. Some curious cats may take 1-2 days to explore the new device.
2. If the cat is still not interested, use cat grass or treats or a cat favorite to lure the cat into the new device.
3. Try adding a specially designed litter to this device to train cats to use the litter box.
4. When changing to use this device, it is not recommended to change the brand/type of cat litter that has been used because it will cause the cat to resist and become anxious.
5. When you start using this device with a shy cat, turn it off and gradually re-acquaint your cat with the device so that it can adjust.
6. Avoid cleaning old litter boxes because cats naturally prefer clean litter. If the litter gets dirty, the cat will know immediately and may be tempted to use a cleaner area.
7. When your cat starts using this device, remove the old litter box immediately.
