Professional Acclimation InstructionsTo ensure the health of your new fish, follow these steps to gradually accustom them to your local water parameters:
- Minimize Light Stress: Turn off the aquarium lights. Keep them off until all new fish are introduced and behaving calmly.
- Float the Bag: Place the transport bag in the aquarium to allow the temperature to equalize.
- Secure Vertically: Open the bag and ensure it remains vertical in the tank (use a clamp if necessary).
- First Addition: Add aquarium water to the bag, totaling approximately one-third of the original transport volume.
- Second Addition: Wait 10 minutes, then refill the bag with more aquarium water.
- Third Addition: Wait another 10 minutes before adding a third round of aquarium water.
- Release: After a final 10-minute wait, carefully catch the fish with a net and place them into the aquarium.
- Water Disposal: Dispose of the water remaining in the bag; do not pour it into your aquarium.
- Tank Maintenance: Refill your tank with fresh water as needed. We recommend using Sera Aquatan to bind pollutants and add essential minerals.
