It provides crystal clear lake water at optimal size, flow rate, system interruption-free operation and annual replacement of the UV lamp.
The sulfur UV system reliably removes all types of floating microorganisms and algae, inhibiting their development and reproduction. It is also effective for removing parasites and bacterial turbidity of water in ponds, freshwater and saltwater aquariums.
Power of the Sera UV-C energy-saving lamp: 11W
Suitable for aquariums and ponds with a volume of up to 500 liters.
Optimal pump flow rate: 500 - 1500 liters per hour.
Suitable pump for UV operation (sold separately!): Sera P 1200 or Sera F 1200 (installation in/near the aquarium).
The device emits dangerous ultraviolet rays! To protect your eyes, never look directly at the UV lamp when it is turned on. Check the lamp through the nozzle for water. To be safe, use a safety glass with 98% or more UV protection.
- Sulfur UV-C special lamps must be used according to the instructions. Improper use may result in burns to the skin or eyes.
- Keep the UV system and UV lamp away from children!
- All electrical appliances around the pond/aquarium must be powered off before operating the system.
- The system should only operate with a standard fuse (30 mA).
- Do not turn on if the filter is submerged.
- We recommend burying the filter in the ground next to the joint, and the rest (about 15 cm) to be above the ground. When the system is freely placed, provide a distance of at least 1.2 m from the water of the lake to ensure that it does not fall into the water.
- Do not use the UV system dry! Ensure sufficient water flow before turning on the lamp. A minimum flow of water (see diagram: the lowest value of "Optimal pumping power") must pass through the lamp.
- Never use the sera UV System in human lakes (swimming pools, etc.).
- If the water is in danger of freezing, immediately disconnect and drain the system and store in places where freezing is impossible. We recommend cleaning and lubricating all seals when wintering.
- Frequent power on/off reduces the life of the lamp.
- Provide access to an electrical outlet at any time.
